Lexus Warranty

An important part of the peace of mind that comes with owning a Lexus is the built-in warranty on your vehicle.

Your Lexus vehicle carries a manufacturer’s New Vehicle Warranty of 3 years or 100,000 kilometres* and a 6 years corrosion perforation warranty. These are supplemented by Lexus New Zealand’s 1 year or 40,000 kilometres* cover, additional to the New Vehicle Warranty.

This total package of cover is offered to the first owner and subsequent owners within the 4 years or 140,000 kilometres* period.

Subject to the terms and conditions contained herein, Lexus New Zealand warrants that any part of your vehicle which becomes defective due to faulty materials or workmanship in manufacture or assembly within 4 years or 140,000 kilometres* from the date of first registration will be repaired or replaced free of all charges.

Any defect must be reported to your Lexus dealer immediately after discovery but within the warranty period and your vehicle must be available at the dealer’s place of business as soon as practicable.

If you are not a consumer (as defined in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993) or you have purchased this vehicle for a business purpose (and your Vehicle Offer and Sale Agreement contains an applicable exclusion from “consequential loss” liability) then, apart from the benefits provided to you in the event of a roadside breakdown or under a Full Maintenance Service Plan, this warranty will not extend to consequential loss or damage to either person or property or expenses such as (but not limited to) hire or loss of use, charges, tolls and travelling expenses.
