All Alloy Direct Injection V6

The lightweight, all-alloy Quad Cam 2.5 litre V6 responds eagerly the moment you touch the throttle. Direct injection means fuel is sprayed into the cylinders at extremely high pressure, improving combustion. It also allows higher compression for more power, economy and reduced emissions.

Greater Response Through Dual VVT-i

You can have superior economy when you want it, or enhanced performance on demand. Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) on the intake and the exhaust valves optimises breathing and efficiency at all engine speeds.

Twin Exhausts

A dual exhaust system incorporating two main mufflers reduces back-pressure and frees up engine performance.

Sequential Six Speed Automatic

All models offer a 6 speed automatic which includes paddle shifters on the steering wheel, letting you shift gears manually, for a Formula 1 inspired driving experience. Alternatively with the shift lever in 'D' position, the intelligent transmission shifts gears seamlessly, for smooth acceleration.

Electric Power Steering

At higher speeds, Electric Power Steering ensures greater road feel. Then in tight parking situations, steering effort is increased for more manoeuvrability.

Liquid Filled Bushings

The front suspension has large, liquid-filled bushings which minimise road vibration and harshness being transmitted to the cabin. More-responsive 'Monotube' shock absorbers help achieve a flat ride while improving traction, ride quality and comfort.

Multilink Rear Suspension

To adhere to undulating roads, IS250 has an advanced-design, multilink rear suspension system. An aluminium carrier reduces weight and improves response. Double link upper suspension arms optimise the geometry and further save weight.
